VIKING COIL RING, 9TH-10TH CENTURY AD, SIZE 9 2 1/2 a little over size 9Gilt bronze, size. Circular section band in 3+ full coils, to 7. 6mm width. Rounded face and flat inside. The coil or helix was a favorite form for Vikings and evidently held supernatural significance to them. Textured from burial. Sound wearable condition and professionally refurbished with the 24karat gold surface restored. Jewelry gift boxed with a certification of authenticity.
